The newly launched Samsung Galaxy F41 offers quite a value for its price. But losing signal abruptly now and then is not something that the users hope for. New smartphones are supposed to be better. So having signal drop issues on a new phone is alarming. There are only two possible reasons for this. Either there is a genuine network problem in the area, or there is something wrong with the phone itself.

If you are not sure whether you are facing a signal drop issue due to the phone or the network itself, then call someone you know in your locality who uses the same telecom as you. If that person is not having signal drop issues, then the phone is the culprit. However, if the signal drop issue is there in your friend’s phone too then, it is most probably a network issue, in which case you can’t do anything other than wait till the technicians fix it up. So in case, you are having a signal drop issue due to the phone itself, then follow the fixes and solutions mentioned below. Undoubtedly one of them will work out for your problem with the Samsung Galaxy F41.

How to fix Samsung Galaxy F41 keeps losing signal?

It may be some glitch with the software itself so a simple restart might solve the problem right away.

Force restart your phone:

If the simple restart did not do you any right, then you should move on to a force restart. A force restart is similar to removing the battery from the phone itself and then reattaching it. It clears out everything in the phone’s memory(RAM) and every service running on the smartphone will get a restart too.

To perform the force restart, press and hold the volume down button and the Power key for 10 seconds. Then you will see the Samsung logo on your screen. Once you see the logo, let go of the buttons and let your smartphone boot normally. Once the reboot is done, check whether the signal drop issue is gone or not. If it is still there, then move on to the next solution mentioned below.

Reset the network settings:

Network reset is a quick way to go back to defaults in terms of the network part of the smartphone. It will clear out all Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi networks, and even the network selection mode will be set to automatic. Everything in the network section of your phone will get a reboot.

To perform network setting reset on your Samsung Galaxy F41,

  • Open the Settings application.
  • Scroll and tap on “General Management.”
  • Then inside General Management, tap on “Reset.”
  • In the Reset menu, you will find the option “Reset network settings.” Tap on it.
  • On the next menu, tap on “Reset Settings” and then finally tap on “Reset.”

Your Samsung Galaxy F41 won’t need a restart after this reset. It will just take a few seconds to clear up everything in the network section of your smartphone while the device is on and functioning correctly. Now check whether the signal loss issue is fixed or not. If you are still experiencing signal loss issues, then try the next solution.

Reset your phone:

Since all the other previous resets failed, the only option left for you is the Factory reset. Factory reset will clear out everything in your phone, including the little things like SMSes, contact names, call logs and everything else. So make sure to create and keep a backup of everything necessary to you in the smartphone.

To perform the factory reset on your Samsung Galaxy F41,

  • Turn off the device.
  • Press and hold the volume up button and the Power key until your device boots into the recovery mode. You will know you have booted in the recovery mode when you see a black screen with yellow and blue texts on it.
  • Using the volume up and down keys highlight the option “wipe data or factory reset” and press the power key to confirm your selection.
  • Using the volume up and down keys again highlight the option “Factory data reset” and press the power key to confirm your selection.
  • Once the factory reset is done, you will be taken to the main page of the recovery mode again. Again using the volume keys highlight the option “Reboot system now” and press the power key to select it.

Your phone will restart and boot up normally without going into the recovery mode again.

Check the hardware and few other settings on your phone:

All the fixes or solution mentioned above only caters to the software side of things. But with signal drop issues, the reason could be a faulty piece of hardware too. Or maybe a particular setting on your phone needs to be changed.

  • Make sure that roaming services on your phone are turned on.
  • Insert your SIM card onto a different device and check if the signal drop issue occurs in that phone or not. If it does, then the SIM could be faulty. But if there are no issues on a different phone, then the problem is definitely with the Samsung Galaxy F41. Just check the SIM tray properly too.
