Reset Microsoft Store
Probably the first thing that you should do when the Install button is not working on the Store, is to reset it back to its original state.
- Open Start Menu»Settings.
- Click on Apps»Microsoft Store»Advanced Options.
- Then click on Reset.
- A confirmation box will appear on which you again need to press the Reset button.
- Once the reset is done, close the Settings menu.
- Open the Microsoft Store and attempt to install an app and see if it has solved the issue or not.
Clear Store Cache
- Open the Start menu and search for wsreset.exe.
- Wait for a few seconds and let the command prompt clear the cache of the Microsoft Store.
- Once the cache is cleared, the store will open automatically.
- Check if this fixes the issue or not.
Re-login to Microsoft Store
- Open the Microsoft Store.
- Tap on the profile picture and click on the account.
- Click on Sign out.
- Relaunch the Microsoft Store app.
- Click on the add profile button and sign in with your account.
- Check if this fixes the issue or not.
Run Microsoft Troubleshooter
- Open the Settings menu from Start.
- Tap on Update & Security.
- On the left side menu, tap on Troubleshoot.

Re-register Microsoft Store
- Open Windows PowerShell from the Start menu.
- Copy and paste the below command:
- Get-AppXPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
- Press the Enter button to execute the command.
- Launch the Microsoft Store and see if this has resolved the issue or not.
