So, if you’re facing the mouse pointer or cursor disappearing issue on your Windows 11 laptop then make sure to check if the feature is turned off or not.
Note: Depending on your laptop model number or manufacturer, the touchpad lock key can be found on the keyboard. For example, if you’re using a Lenovo IdeaPad series laptop then the F6 key will be one that you’re looking for. It’ll look like a ‘crossed touchpad icon’ for your ease. On some laptops, the key will indicate a turn ON/OFF status.
- Make sure to single press the touchpad lock key to turn it off or vice-versa to cross-check the specific issue. [If in case, you do not have the function lock enabled on the laptop then press and hold the Fn key + press the touchpad lock key to activate/deactivate the touchpad feature]

If there is an update available, it’ll automatically download and install the latest version.
Once done, make sure to reboot your computer to change the effects.
Alternatively, you can manually download the latest version of the mouse driver and install it directly on your computer via the official manufacturer’s website.
4. Rollback Mouse Driver
It’s highly recommended to try downgrading the mouse driver on your computer by following the steps below because rolling back the driver might gonna help your system easily resolve multiple issues with the touchpad functionality or mouse cursor disappearing. To do this:

6. Disable the Tablet Mode
If in case, you’re using the hybrid Windows device that has a detachable keyboard like modern laptops that means once you detach the keyboard from the device, it basically switches to the tablet mode by default. In that scenario, the mouse cursor or pointer gets disabled/turned off as the device offers touchscreen functionality. So, the chances are high that the Tablet Mode is still turned on even after reconnecting the keyboard to the device.
Since there is no specific way to manually disable the Tablet Mode on your Windows 11 system, you’ll have to restart the device to automatically calibrate the keyboard input option to the device by the system. To do so:
- Just connect your Windows 11 device with the keyboard (if not connected already).
