One such streaming service that has seen a considerable rise in its user base in recent times is Netflix. People from all over the globe now depend on Netflix for multimedia entertainment. Netflix has also made accessing its servers more direct via both the app or the browser. Unfortunately, though, some Netflix users are encountering errors on browsers due to various reasons. Sometimes it’s the servers acting up, while sometimes it’s just the browser. One such error is the Netflix error code f7701-1003.

How to fix Netflix error code f7701-1003?

Update the Browser:
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the three dash icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on the Help option in the list and then click on About Firefox.
- A new window will open up now and check for the latest version of the browser, and if it finds the latest version that it will automatically update the browser to the newest version.
- After the update is complete, just close the browser and reopen it again, and you will have the latest version of Firefox up and running.
Enable Widewine plugin:
Many may already know that streaming services require Widewine support to stream HD content online. So if the Widewine plugin is disabled on your firefox browser, then you can’t access Netflix. To fix it,
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the three dash icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Now click on Add ons.
- A new window will open up, and you will see an option on the left that reads plugin. Click on it.
- Here you will see the plugins you have on your browser, and in the list, you should see a plugin by the name Widevine Content Decryption Module. A small three-dot icon is there in the plugin, click on it, and select Always Activate.
- Click on the plugin and set the option On for allow automatic updates.
Enable History:
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the three dash icon(open menu) in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on Options in the list.
- Click on the Privacy & Security tab on the left side of the Options window.
- Under the history section, select Remember History from the drop-down menu.
- Close all the windows and then restart Firefox once again.
Check if now Netflix is accessible in your Firefox or not. If not, then try the next fix.
Enable DRM support:
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the three dash icon(open menu) in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on Options in the list.
- Click on the General tab on the left side of the Options window.
- Scroll down till you see the section Digital Rights Management(DRM) Console.
- Check the box next to Play DRM-controlled content.
- Close all the windows and then restart Firefox once again.

Refresh Firefox:
- Open the Firefox browser and click on the three dash icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on the Help option in the list and then click on Troubleshoot information.
- On the right-hand side, you will see an option that reads Give Firefox a tune-up. Under it, you will have Refresh Firefox. Click on it.
- Another dialogue box will open up, asking for confirmation. Click on Refresh Firefox again here too.
- Close all the windows and then restart Firefox once again.
Now try streaming Netflix content again on your Firefox browser. If the error pops up once again, then give the final fix mentioned below a try.
Reinstall Firefox:
- Click on the Windows search bar and search for Run.
- Open the result that shows up first.
- Enter “appwiz.cpl” in the Run dialogue box and press the Enter button.
- A new window will open containing a list of all the applications you have on your system. Select Firefox from the list and click on the Uninstall button.
- Now go to firefox official’s website by clicking here and download the installer for the latest version.
- Using the installer, install the latest version of Firefox again on your system.
- Now restart your computer and open Firefox again.
- Go to the Netflix website and try streaming content again. The error should show up again.
Remember that Netflix faces error when you try to access Netflix in an incognito window. So if you are facing this error while trying to access Netflix through incognito mode, then try accessing the same via the standard way. This will surely fix Netflix error code f7701-1003.
