1. Properly Connect to Bluetooth
Make sure to properly connect the controller to Bluetooth wirelessly. If you have a number of Bluetooth devices connected to your PS4 console and you’re experiencing issues with the connection then you may have signal issues.
2. Charge the Controller
Keep in mind that your PS4 controller is charged more than 60% to easily connect to the console. It’ll get rid of all the possibilities with the low battery issue.
3. Connect with a USB cable
If you’re having issues with the controller connectivity or syncing with the console wirelessly then make sure to connect it with a USB cable and then try checking the issue again. 4. Re-Sync Controller at Startup

5. Perform a Soft Reset

- Connect the secondary PS4 controller and then go to the Settings menu.
- Select Devices from the drop-down menu > Select Bluetooth Devices.
- Locate the wireless controller that isn’t working > Select the controller.
- The active controller should show a green dot icon and the inactive controllers will show a white/grey circle icon.
- Now, press the Options menu > Select Forget Device to disconnect the inactive controller.
- Turn Off the PS4 console > Re-sync the controller again by following the above method.
6. Perform a Hard Reset
If you can’t perform a soft reset on the controller then you’ll have to go for performing a hard reset. You’ll require a paper clip to do so.
- Turn Off the PS4 console > Find the tiny hole for the reset button.
- It should be located near the left trigger (LT) button on the controller.
- Now, insert the paper clip in the hole and push the reset button for around 5 seconds.
- Finally, connect the controller to the PS4 again and check for the issue.
