Some other reports are also suggesting that even the voice chat is working for the PUBG PC players, the sound feels distorted or cut out in most scenarios. So, we’re assuming that either it’s an in-game bug or there is something conflicting at the players’ end. Luckily, there are a couple of possible workarounds available that we’ve mentioned below so that you can easily fix this issue. Now, without wasting any more time, let’s jump into it.

1. Mic should be turned on

If in case, the in-game voice chat isn’t working then the chances are high that the mic is turned off for some reason. You can manually check for it and change it accordingly. To do that:

  • Press the Windows key on the keyboard to open the Start menu.
  • Click on Settings > Go to Privacy.
  • Go to Microphone > Ensure whether the Microphone access for this device is on or not. [If not, click on Change and enable it]
  • Below that, enable the Allow apps to access your microphone option and select PUBG for sure.

2. Configure Audio Settings

Another thing you can do is simply configure the audio settings on your PC properly to ensure there is no issue happening due to the audio output device settings. To do that:

4. Check the Volume of Microphone

Also, check out whether the volume level of the microphone isn’t turned off or too low to hear properly. If you’re using Windows then check the same from the sound settings menu.

5. Use Another Microphone

Try using another microphone on your PC or console. You should also try connecting the microphone to another USB port or jack.

6. Check for Physical Damage

Check whether your microphone is physically damaged or not. Use it on another device to cross-check the same issue.
