1. Restart your PC

By rebooting your Windows system, most of the users can easily fix plenty of issues like any bug, glitch, stutter, etc. So, if in case, your game is conflicting with some running application or any software glitch, make sure to restart your PC at first.

  • Go to Start > Click on Power icon > Select Restart.
  • It may take some time to reboot your PC.
  • Once done, restart the Epic Games Launcher and try running the game.

2. Delete Cache

  • Press Windows + R key to open up the Run dialog box.
  • Now, type %temp% and hit Enter.
  • Here you will get a bunch of temporary files.
  • Select all files and press Delete or Shift+Del (permanent delete) to remove all files.
  • Keep in mind that some of the files may not be deleted. Just skip them.
  • Once done, restart your PC and check the game again.

3. Verify Game Files

Some times the installed game may have some missing or corrupted game files that you can’t understand and the game may not be able to launch or run properly. In order to fix that issue, you can verify game files directly from the launcher.

  • Open Epic Games Launcher
  • Go to Library > Select SnowRunner
  • Click on Settings (cog icon)
  • Select Verify option
  • It may take a while to complete the verification process.
  • Once done, restart your Epic Games Launcher and try running the game.

4. Enable Vertical Sync (V-SYNC)

If in case, you’re facing lags or frame drops on your SnowRunner game then you should enable the Vertical Sync option. This feature can definitely fix the lagging or crashing issue.

6. Update Windows 10

  • Go to Start menu > Click on Settings
  • Next, go to Update and Security
  • Under the Windows Update section, you can see Updates available notice.
  • If not, then click on Check for updates. If available, simply download and install it.
  • Once done, restart your PC and launch the SnowRunner game via Epic Games Launcher.

7. Remove all overlay application

The overlay apps offer a bunch of useful features or options for pro gamers or multiplayer games. However, the overlay apps always run in the background that eats memory a lot and also can occur errors. So, if you don’t use these features, then you should disable the Nvidia GeForce Experience Overlay. Additionally, you can disable Discord Overlay, etc.

While Xbox Gamebar users can also disable it from Start menu > Settings > Gaming > Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using the Game bar. Additionally, you can go to Captures > Turn off Background recording.
