The dark mode is very popular and Google has adopted this mode for all its applications. Besides, this mode is not yet made public and is not a standalone feature on the Chrome browser but, with some tweaks in the “Chrome Flags“, you will be able to force the web pages to appear in dark mode.

For this guide to work, you need to download the Google Chrome Canary version of the web browser whose link is given below;

Steps to Force Dark Mode on Google Chrome

  • Firstly, download the Google Chrome Canary from the download section above.
  • Open Google Chrome Canary and type in the search bar “chrome://flags“.
  • In this page, you will find all the experimental features list as chrome flags which you can enable and test for the Google Chrome web browser.
  • Now, search for the “Force Dark Mode for Web Contents” in the search box.
  • You will see one flag and there will be a drop-down list named under Default.
  • Tap on Enabled.
  • Now, exit the Google Chrome and restart the web browser.
  • That’s it! You will now see web pages forced in dark mode.
