Apple is officially rolling out its brand new streaming service, Apple TV+, but figuring out where and how to stream the new shows is a bit confusing. The video-on-demand web TV service opens to subscribers on November 1, and here’s how to access Apple TV+, including where customers can watch the streamer.
Back in 2016, Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company was interested in developing original content in the near future. The process of creating Apple TV+ took off quickly the next year. In the period that followed, Apple began announcing some of the upcoming original content. Oprah Winfrey signed a multi-year partnership with Apple TV+ and has a few documentaries in the works. In addition, a few standout series include The Morning Show, Dickinson, See, For All Mankind, and Helpsters. Director M. Night Shyamalan also has a film called Servant set to debut on the service at the end of the month.
When Apple TV+ launches, subscribers will have access to eight original series and one documentary. New content will then be added every month after the initial launch. Apple TV+ will cost $4.99 a month following the 7-day free trial available to the public, a much cheaper option compared to the likes of Netflix, Hulu, or the upcoming HBO Max. The ad-free streaming service will give a year membership included in the purchase of a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV. Each account will also give access to up to six people from the same household.

Which Platforms Don’t Support Apple TV+ (Yet)
As of now, Apple TV+ won’t be accessed through all platforms come launch day. The Apple TV app hasn’t been added to PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. In addition, the app isn’t available on smart TVs from companies like Sony, LG, Vizio, and others. Thankfully, Apple has announced plans to expand Apple TV’s accessibility to all of those platforms in the near future which will bring Apple TV+ to new segments of potential subscribers. Apple also included its plans to bring Apple TV to various more streaming sticks and boxes not listed above. As of now, there are no plans to include the Apple TV app or access to Apple TV+ to Android phones or Windows 10 computers.
